How many times have you heard that phrase? The idea behind is that when you are on a search for something that has been lost that is valuable; it always takes the maximum search effort. There is never a few seconds of light searching and then in a few seconds you say, “Oh! There it is!”
I always used to shake my head at the phrase, “It’s always in the last place you look.”
I used to wonder, “If you found what you were looking for, why would you continue to look for it?”
This is exactly what’s happened.
